A pale blue green parti, a yellow sapphire and a champagne diamond merge in 18 carat yellow gold radiant settings to form a dreamy cluster of light and warmth.
The palette makes me think of summer drenched photos, light bouncing of water and long grass, hazily backlit by sun and kissed with solar flares.
A tiny little cosmos of warm hearts and big feelings.

An elevated elegant platform of refracted light and colour. This stunning princess cut sapphire sits atop two tiny textured gold boulders in a radiant gold setting. A declaration and sentiment of devotion and endless possibilities.

FD 4 EP: STELLAR BLOOM

18 carat yellow gold, teal parti sapphire, white diamonds.

EP loved the colours, textures and structure of the Asteris ring, but dreamed of a larger central sapphire to use a pair of heirloom white diamonds from her grandmother’s ring. A radiant setting like petals or star shine, lands like a heaven sent floral burst suspended between rocky meteoric side settings. The symmetry of the form, and the slight variation of shapes and texture in the shoulder elements strike a perfect balance. (and made it a pretty great piece for a Paris proposal – I think)

Made for a beautiful pair who wanted special pieces that embodied ‘the everlasting universe of things – of nature and of love, the undulating force of life and the strength that it takes individually, and together, to travel life’s journey.’
These QLD sapphires are incredible beauties that flash various hues. I also love the wild landscape of a setting that speaks to freedom for growth, having stability, and being rock solid whatever the weather.

AM: MONUMENTAL

A ring for a friend who is truly a solid gold force of nature, in trade for one of her long coveted early photographic works.

The perfect thing in return seemed to be a Ledge style ring set with a striking parti sapphire in a trapezoid cut. A brutalist inspired form, an elevated tapered platform and a raked concrete like texture set with polished geometric prismatic blue. A monument for a finger of a friend.

A patinaed world-worn obelisk stands against a blurred low horizon and an endless turquoise blue void.
The immaterial plays across the surface of the material, the tangible is tensioned against the transcendent, and the relatively small object becomes monolithic.

Such a stunning freeform cut, parti sapphire from QLD at the centre of this one…for a stunning and excellent human!
Cool greens and teal blues flash from within, the hues shift a little depending on the light, ref;lection and refraction. , jungle green, a bit of olive, is that lime, oh steal blue, hello slatey grey. Framed in a radiant style bezel in white gold and grounded by rocky settings studded with small sapphires and white diamonds for a little more depth and light, and a bit of fun.
I was so honoured to make this one.

IB: TECTONIC SYMMETRY

A custom piece made for a Melbournite living in London, coordinated by her partner. After a quick phone call followed by many emails and photos we landed on the perfect form, colours and materials for this special ring that references a traditional style, though seems wrought by nature. An Australian sapphire was set in 18 carat yellow gold and balanced above rocky outcrops embedded with white diamonds, elevating its blue green hues. This equally robust and delicate beauty did an easy continental drift from here to there, and really peaked when it was popped on a finger high in the Swiss Alps!

A custom beauty combining rocky settings, gold petals and pods to create a rock garden in bloom featuring tonal blues of sapphires from New South Wales and Queensland.

A wider, thicker, windier, more rounded version of the Golden Path ring, plump enough to set the small heirloom princess cut sapphires on an angle and with the round white diamonds scattered around.

The grain set princess (square) cut stones take on a petalled or star like shape on the textured band, conjuring a path strewn with floral detritus or guiding stars in a golden night sky, some sort of trail of treasures.
